◊ A beautiful, natural necklace featuring Prince Mine variscite + Imperial jasper. We love the mix of shapes and colors in this one of a kind piece.

◊ The variscite is bezel set in sterling silver and measures approximately 23 mm long. The jasper is prong set in 14k gold fill and measures approximately 16 x 18 mm. The entire pendant is 2" long. The 14k gold fill chains measures 27".

◊ You will receive this exact necklace.

◊ This variscite was mined from the Prince Mine in Mineral County, Nevada near the Calendaria Mining district. The variscite from these particular mines have high silica content, which makes them hardness and extra durability.

◊ Variscite is a mineral closely related to turquoise in mineralogical terms; a hydrous aluminum phosphate, with its distinct difference being that it doesn't contain copper. While copper gives turquoise its characteristically blue color, variscite receives its green colors from chromium and vanadium. Other metals such as iron and manganese can contribute to its other colors.

◊ Imperial Jasper is found on the east side of a steep canyon about 50 miles northwest of Guadalajara, Mexico.

◊ Jasper is a form of opaque chalcedony that is classified as a cryptocrystalline form of silica. It is composed of very fine inter growths of quartz and morganite. Willow Creek Jasper, from Eagle, Idaho, is known for its subtle pastel colors, mostly browns, greens and pinks, and its squiggly line patterns.
