◊ This modern, geometric necklace features Athena Mine variscite accented by a sparkling moissanite and two golden arcs.

◊ Variscite is bezel set in sterling silver and measures approximately 29 x 24 mm.  Moissanite measures 2 mm and is set in 14k gold. Golden arcs are fabricated out of 14k gold fill. The entire pendant measures 2" x 1.25". Chain is 14k gold fill and measures 27" in length.

◊ Variscite is a mineral closely related to turquoise in mineralogical terms, a hydrous aluminum phosphate, with its distinct difference being that it doesn't contain copper. While copper gives turquoise its characteristically blue color, variscite receives its green colors from chromium and vanadium, while other metals such as iron and manganese can contribute to its other colors.

◊ This variscite formed in ancient seafloor shale in the area that is now known as the Athena Mine in Esmeralda County, Nevada.

◊ Moissanite was first discovered by French chemist Henri Moissan in 1893 in a meteor crater in Arizona. Due to its scarcity, it is now a lab created gem by Charles & Collard.

◊ Moissanites are brilliant, sparkling stones which are often referred to as "space diamonds." They are incredibly durable, resistant to high heat, and rival diamonds in many arenas. Their hardness measures a 9.25 on the Mohs scale, making them an excellent choice for wearability. Forever One is graded to be colorless in comparison to a diamond color chart.

◊ You will receive this exact necklace.
