0.4 Ctw Moissanite Solitaire Engagement Ring | 14k Recycled Gold

◊ A simple and timeless moissanite engagement ring that sparkles endlessly.

◊ Moissanite measures 5 mm and weighs 0.4 ctw and is set in solid 14k recycled gold in a bezel setting. Band measures 1.5 x 1 mm and the ring is shown in a matté finish but may be finished polished as well.

◊ Moissanite was first discovered by French chemist Henri Moissan in a meteor crater in Arizona. Due to its scarcity, it is now a lab created gem by Charles & Colvard. Dr. Moissan's research identified them as a brand new mineral composition—silicon carbide, whereas diamonds are created from carbon. In nature, silicon carbide is created over millennia by a combination of extreme heat and pressure. At Charles & Colvard researchers re-create those conditions in a controlled, profoundly accelerated process which produces durable, super-hard crystals with a minimum of ecological impact…and absolutely no mining. In their research laboratory located in Central North Carolina, scientists perfected and patented the innovative process that creates silicon carbide crystals.

◊ These brilliant, sparkling stones are often referred to as "space diamonds." They are incredibly durable, resistant to high heat, and rival diamonds in many arenas. Their hardness measures a 9.25 on the Mohs scale, making them an excellent choice for wearability. Forever One is graded to be colorless in comparison to a diamond color chart.

◊ A patented thermal growing process is used to create single-crystal raw moissanite gems. The process is lengthy, complicated, and expensive, which limits the output (it takes 2-3 months for the creation of a single gem).

◊ Ring is packaged in a ring box, ready for gifting and is shipped via UPS with full insurance and tracking. Please select UPS Diamonds & Gold for this order, we will not ship with another option selected.
